Calculator inputs

Calculations run in your browser. Saving submits inputs to the server. Calculator and result URLs can also include inputs and transmit them when opened or reloaded; a hosting provider may log those requests. Anyone receiving a shared result URL may read its inputs.

Optional accounts

The server stores your username, a salted password hash, a hashed recovery code, sessions and calculations you choose to save. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Account records remain until you delete the account. Sessions expire after seven days. You can export your calculations and delete individual entries or the account.

Browser storage

A session cookie supports sign-in. Local storage remembers your colour theme. A service worker caches public pages for offline access. No advertising or analytics trackers are installed in this release. Fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the network request; font loading is optional and the site works with system fonts.

Messages and security

Contact messages include your name, email and message text. They are stored for the operator to review, for up to 90 days. Security rate limits store a hash of the connecting IP address for up to 24 hours. Your hosting provider may retain separate access logs under its own retention policy. Deleted records may remain in hosting backups until those backups expire.

Your choices

You can use calculators without an account. Use My calculations to download or delete saved data. Clearing site data removes the local theme and offline cache; it does not delete a server account.
